React Positively, Positive.

The way we react to the circumstances’ of "life" demonstrates if we are going to overcome or over-think bad or good conditions in our lives. At times I am the worst at over thinking a situation. Looking at the crossroads I come upon with different perspectives, so that the bad choices are limited (because we always make some bad or wrong choices). I’ve already made enough bad choices in my life to be swayed by the winds and ocean tides. We need to be planted, firm, deep, and strong as an oak tree. I have certainly learned from these situations I’ve come through! I do not want to wonder in the desert any longer than I need to. I pray to God, I listen to Him, do what He says, and keep close (and get closer) each day and night of my life. When I do mess up (and it is inevitable that I will!) I repent, change my ways and go on. I do not even do this perfectly, but God sees the heart.

I’m not sure why we procrastinate with our relationship with the Lord. If we are married, have friends, children, grandparents, we are continuously trying to keep our relationships fresh, peaceful, honest. We bring gifts, make dinners, fellowship and actually make an effort to grow and renew these relationships. It seems as though we put God on the back burner, so to speak. Instead we must have God foremost in our lives, doing this will bring other relationships, circumstances and crossroads we come on in a positive light, definitely not perfect, but having God, trusting Him, letting the Holy Spirit lead us, guide us and teach us will assist in all other situations in life.

My Prayer- God, help me put you first, so all other things will come into your will. Forgive me for being lazy and putting my desires, wants, and will before you Lord, God. Help me to seek you first and your desires. Please change me Lord, helping me not to desire anything except YOU. When I start to over-think my situations and worry, remind me to talk with you and listen to you about situation I come up against in this life. In Jesus name, amen.
